Edmund Curtis FCA

Edmund qualified with a national firm of accountants in 1985, and joined Quest Duthoit in 1989, becoming a partner in 1990. He has managed the practice since 1994, and understands the ups and downs of running a business, from first-hand experience.

The business successfully acts for clients ranging from small tax returns to companies that have grown with QD before being sold as multi million pound concerns. Edmund has developed the practice to have a strong commercial focus, but with an emphasis on corporate and personal taxation, in order to provide a comprehensive service for the business and the individual.

He has worked hard to surround himself with a strong team of colleagues with complementary skills to meet all clients’ accounting needs.

David Whelpdale FCCA

David spent several years with Lloyds Bank before changing career direction into accountancy. In 1999, he joined QD as a trainee accountant and qualified in 2002.

In addition to running the accounting and audit compliance department, he offers practical help for its clients, including periods of secondment to assist with software solutions and the implementation of new accounting systems.

David has formed close working relationships with managing directors of a number of client companies, supporting them on their strategic planning, monitoring their performance, and working together with the business to ensure their goals are achieved.

Catherine Willson

After many years of tax compliance work for individuals and businesses in the tax department of a major bank, Catherine joined a leading international accounting group specialising in personal tax. She moved to QD in 1999 to run and expand the tax department.

Her aim at QD is for the team to deal efficiently and cost effectively with all its clients’ tax requirements. These range from the complexities of tax planning and compliance work for high net worth individuals, to day to day advice and assistance to our business clients on a range of practical and regulatory issues that constantly arise in the ever changing financial world.
